Australian Opal Cutters is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful and inclusive experience for all visitors.

We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, including visitors with disability, people with limited mobility, people who are blind or have low vision, people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, and visitors with other access requirements.

Our Sydney showroom is located on Level 3 of Park House at 295–301 Pitt Street, Sydney. Lift access is available to the showroom. As access requirements can vary, we encourage visitors to contact us before arriving so our team can provide current information and help plan their visit.

How We Can Assist

Where reasonably possible, we can assist by:

• Providing information about showroom access before a visit;
• Offering assistance with bookings and visit arrangements;
• Communicating by telephone, email, website enquiry or other agreed methods;
• Allowing additional time for visitors who require assistance;
• Providing verbal descriptions of opals, jewellery and displays;
• Assisting visitors to view products more closely;
• Accommodating support persons, carers and approved assistance animals;
• Advising staff in advance of a visitor’s access requirements; and
• Making reasonable adjustments to help visitors participate in an opal or jewellery experience.

We encourage visitors, carers, support workers and tour organisers to tell us about any specific access needs when making a booking. This allows our team to discuss suitable arrangements before the visit.

Some experiences may involve close viewing of jewellery, demonstrations, workshop activity or the handling of small items. Our team will explain the experience and provide reasonable assistance where it is safe and practical to do so.

We are committed to treating all visitors with dignity, courtesy and respect. Discrimination, harassment or disrespectful behaviour is not accepted.

Accessibility arrangements may occasionally be affected by building management, lift maintenance, safety requirements or circumstances outside our control. We recommend contacting us before travelling if lift access or another particular facility is essential.
